Happy Anniversary

I have been meaning to post about this, but just haven't had a whole lot of time these days! Jeff and I had the opportunity to celebrate our 6th year anniversary on May 17!! I can hardly believe that it has been that long! I really couldn't have asked Heavenly Father to have blessed me with someone better! Just typing this is making me cry (hehe that didn't take long!). It all started when I moved over to the South stake right after High School (there is a whole lot of story in between, but I am briefly summerizing). I really had a hard time, and didn't understand why we had to move sooo far. I truly believe that Heavenly Father sent us "soo far" so that I could meet my eternal companion. My life is nothing but wonderful. There is not one thing that I can complain about. When Jeff had come home from his mission, and was giving his "homecoming" talk, I knew (didn't know how it was going to happen) that we were going to spend the eternities together. Words cannot express how much I love him, and how grateful I am to him for all that he does for our family. He is the best dad a little girl could ask for, he is my best friend, and the funniest person you will ever meet!! ;)

Sad beginning...Happy ending

I thought April 27th would never get here!! It seemed like it was taking forever, but it finally arrived (yesterday, so I should have posted then)! I was nervous (it seemed like all day long, but my appointment was at 10:00am!) because we were finally going to be able to see what Heavenly Father has blessed us with. So, because I was so excited, I left my office at around 9:30am (which is extremely early for me. I have been on a "never on time" kick!!) to head on over to my doctors appointment, and meet up with Jeff who was unusually running late! Any who, the ultra sound tech called my name just as Jeff had arrived and we headed on back to the ultra sound room. She starts the ultra sound, and wasn't very informative. I guess I am used to my doctor being so good about letting me know what and where everything is. I found myself asking her if "that was the leg" or if "that was the head" etc. so I was a little bummed that so far it wasn't all that great of an experience. She continued on. I asked her if she was able to determine the gender yet, and she proceeded to tell me that it was a little difficult because the baby was in a breech position! WHAT!????! is what was going through my mind! I wanted to tell her she needed to take her time and be patient! We wanted to know!! I had asked her a few questions, and then she turned around and told me that we were all done, and that I needed to come back in a few weeks, and handed me 3 ultra sound pictures!!!!!!! I was upset. I really was looking forward to finding out. I wasn't surprised though. That is just my luck!! I have the worst luck ever, when it comes to stuff like that!!! So, on our way we went. I had another doctors appointment set up for the next day (which was today) with my doctor, so I thought maybe...just maybe, she would have pitty on me and do another ultra sound when I went in. So I go in around 11:20ish, my appointment was at 11:40,and waited for them to call me! (I don't know about you, but I don't like waiting to be seen! It takes forever!!) I finally get called back, and they took me to the ultra sound room!! I was sooooooooooo excited!! My doc eventually had come in, and I looked at her with a big smile and said, "Are you going to do an ultra sound???!!!" and she said "Yes, just to take a look and see how everything is going." I was so excited I wanted to jump out of my skin on top of wanting to throw my arms around her and start to cry!!! LOL I am an emotional mess!! :) and then I said, "and possibly look for the gender???!!!" and she smiled at me and said , "okay, lets take a look." So she was looking everywhere, and couldn't really find anything, so she went to get the nurse practioner. The nurse practioner had come in and was looking. She was having a hard time too!!! She finally found the baby! It was mostly hanging out on the right side of my body. As she was looking (you could tell that she was really trying) she pointed out the knees, and the area that she was trying to get a better view of, but the baby was just not budging. Bless her heart, she kept trying differnet things. I guess the little bambino is already modest!! ;) So eventually she got a few good views, and finally said..."It looks like it is a BOY!!!!!" I was like "really???!!!!" and she said "Yes, I am pretty sure it is a boy!" I think I was still kind of in shock!! She then told me that we definitely need to confirm in a few weeks, but was pretty sure it is a boy! So, I finished up with my appointement, headed out the door, and became an emotional wreck!! I don't know what had come over me! I was very excited, but I think that it had just then and there finally sunk in that I am actually pregnant and going to bring in a new addition to our little family!! It was very sweet moment. The only bummer about the situation was the Jeff wasn't there with me (he had worked a graveyard, so he was sleeping):( we really were not expecting to find out today! I thought I was going to have to wait another eternity!! So, we are going to have a baby boy! WOW!! I have tons to learn, but I look forward to it! Sorry this post is soooo long, but I had to tell the whole story. It is actually somewhat summerized!!hehe I am long winded! :)

In 11 days...

We get to find out what we are having!! At first, I was so sure that it was going to be another girl, then I was thinking it was a boy, but now I really have no idea!! There are many friends/family who are sure that it is a girl, then there are many who are sure it is a boy!! They are so funny!! :) Jeff and I both really do not mind what the gender will be, just as long it is healthy and well. I can't believe it! I think it will sink in once we find out what it is. Anywho...I just thought I would give a little update. :)

For those of you who do not know...

So, I thought I was going to be better at this blogging thing, but I keep proving myself wrong; However, I was kind of waiting until this time to blog because I have a little bit of intersting/exciting news! We found out in late January that I am expecting!! WOW! I am still kind of in shock! I am currently sixteen weeks, and my expected due date is September 26th! Because of my miscarriage in June of last year, I have been considered "high risk" so they were keeping a close eye on me. I have had three ultrasounds! My doctor had told me each time that the baby looks really good! Everytime I had an ultra sound the expected due date was a little different. The first ultrasound predicted September 26th, the second predicted September 23rd, and the third predicted September 24th!! So, my Dr. told me to just keep the first due date! Kind of weird, but I guess somewhere between September 23-26th the little bambino will grace us with it's presence!! :) Here are the ultrasound picture so far...

Pay It Forward

So my friend, Lindsey, is doing this pay it forward thing. This is how it works..... The first 3 people to leave a comment on this will receive a hand made gift from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise. There's a small catch...You knew there would be didn't you? Post this on your blog then come back and leave a comment, telling me you're in. Fun, huh? Remember, only the first 3 comments receive the gift.

Christmas Pictures

Here are a few pictures of Keira and her cousins for the in-laws Christmas card.
Just thought I would share. They made the trees on their shirts with their handprints, and decorated the trees with little jewels. They turned out really cute!

Christmas Recital

Keira had a Christmas Recital in December. She did so good! I love that she loves to dance. Here are a few pictures from that night.

Creative Husband

For those of you who did not get the chance to see our Christmas card...here it is. Jeff decided that he was going to be creative with our Christmas card last year. I was impressed, but at the same time a little nervous! :) The whole card was his idea. I didn't want to do it at first just because it was way out of my comfort zone. I usually like one nice family pic of us with something nice to say, and that is about it. I can't deny that I was craking up the whole time I was creating it, so I finally caved, and had them printed. The pictures on the front are from the 2008 Kern County Fair. It has been our tradition to take those pictures since the first year we were married. I think taking those picture is really the only reason we go to the fair!! ;)

My (to be continued)

Jeff's grandparents started the tradition of taking their children to Disneyland for their 5th birthday. Jeff's parents kept the tradition with their kids, and now Jeff and I have decided that we would take Keira to Disneyland for her 5th birthday. Taking your kids to Disneyland when they are 5 is perfect!! I really felt like she was able to have the best time of her life and be able to remember how much fun she had. We all had a BLAST!!! Here are a few pictures to show just how much fun we had.

On our way
Can't go to Disneyland and not pose infront of the "C"
Keira had a personal phone call from Goofy.
He sung 'Happy Birthday' to her!
Such a beautiful tree! It was really pretty at night!
All of the decorations were beautiful!

Updates

Okay, so a lot has happend since the last time I have blogged (like 8 months ago! WOW!) so I will kind of briefly sum it all up. Some of you may know that I was pregnant back in March of 08, but had a miscarriage in June. It was a hard time, but we know that everything happens for a reason. I now am able to sympathize with those who have gone through it. Next, it was time for the annual trip to Huntington Lake! I really do look forward to this trip every year! Jeff's family has gone to Huntington since he was very young. It is fun to hear him and his family look back over the years and remember the different trails they would take, and jumping in and swimming in the freezing cold water! I am getting the chills just thinking about it! If any of you have been...you know what I am talking about!! We really have a good time, but miss those who have been unable to make it (Carolyn). Everyone should hopefully be there this year. Here are a few pictures from the trip.

I know i said I was gonna briefly summerize, but I dont think there is going to be anything brief about this post! ;)

Okay, so there are only some of my pictures! I know there are a lot, but I wanted to share with everyone. So the summer has almost passed, and it is now time for Keira to start Kindergarten!!! I cannot believe my baby is now a kindergartener!! Time sure does go by super fast!! Here are a few pictures of Keira on the first day of school sporting her awesome uniform! ;)

Here are a few more pictures of Keira at school with one of her friends (it was a little bright for them), and in her classroom.

Keira is a very young Kindergartener, and is doing so well! She learned all of her Kindergarten site words and is now working on her 1st grade site words! On her report card she has earned mostly 5's (which is advanced), and a few 4's (which is right where she needs to be) and all O's (which is outstanding). I don't mean to brag, but she is doing great. I was a little nervous when she first started, but we just knew she was ready. She loves going to school and loves to learn.
I think this post ended up being really long, so I will make it a to be continued post...
